DESCRIPTION: Illinois Watch Co., Springfield, Illinois, "Pennsylvania Special", 18 size, 24 jewels, stem wind and lever set, adjusted, two tone damascene nickel plate movement with lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, gold jewel settings, gold timing screws and whiplash micrometric regulator in a gold filled, screw back and bezel, engraved open face case, Arabic numerals, outer red 5-minute markers, double sunk white enamel dial, blued steel spade and poker hands, serial #1534903, c1900.
CONDITION: CASE: Case has housed another movement; Dent, back; Dings and pin pricks; Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Fine scratches on inner surface of case; Gold filled with very minor brassing; Pendant mauled in an attempt to close holes where bow enters; Crystal with small flakes and minor scratches; Bow replaced; Crown missing gold shell. DIAL: Replaced; Hairlines in enamel, 12:00, 6:00, 9:00; Spider hairlines, seconds bit; Crack and min or losses, center, to right of seconds bit; Fine scratches. HANDS: Replaced minute. MOVEMENT PLATES: Fine scratches on plate; Minor spotting; Balance cock screw replaced; Three jewel screws replaced; Escape and third wheel endstones with scratches indicating location. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks) .
